Took a drive this morning (sunday) from durban right through to scottsburgh. Along the way i stopped at toti, warner beach, winkels, illovo and umkomaas. Besides the karanteen at toti and the lovely brusher at winkels(crackershrimp), no fish anywhere, and defnitely no sardines. The water was perfect. What a waste of a sunday!

Afghan Here's my fishing report after the week I spent at The Aloes :

@ torpedo jack, sory you had no luck, did you try the surrounding areas like sheppies and shelley beach and did you atleast try sum smelly bait. Anywz hope the stay at aloes was okay.
@ maestro, if i don't join you on a trip i'm gonna lose my mind. Every time i go fish i BLANK. i bet if i come with you the frikkin fish will visit kzn for a change. Just can't get away from the books.
My gran insists i let her turn salt around my rod to take out the bad luck caused by people staring at the fish i've caught in the recent past, BUT WHAT FISH! KARRAS?
Anywz hope this thing passes soon.

The Aloes was all you promised. VERY nice, safe place, beautiful fishing beach. We did try many other places in the area, but with no luck. Even the 'stinky bait' guys caught only 3 puffers for the week. We did see one Catface Rockcod come out, but other than that, it was quiet. Just bad timing, I think.
I would definitely visit The Aloes again. Thanks again for all the info.
