Mid to late afternoon on the drop off as you come in to lake two from the channel from lake three. Try and get some pouter of stompies for live bait, otherwise throw some 5" drop shot. The rock salmon like this area as do the kingies.

Other strategy is to "long line" (take lines out with the boat) into deep water with sand prawns (kafuf, think thats what the locals call it) as bait. Put your rods in sand spikes in the shallow water and sit back and relax. Pick up some nice grunter and stumpnose like this.

Richard...

Thanks for the tip..,we all know how 'stinggy/ suinig' us fisherman are when it comes to sharing some real news regarding good fishing spots. Yep..,I'm well aware of the long lining for the goo old grunter ..,but more than often we get FAR to Happy on the Refreshments and then the long lines gets neglected...!! LOL..!!
It just So happens that '' the real Sparri..'' caught his P.B. of a 5 kg Rock-Sammon in lake 3..,far side opposite the camp sites...( Apologies for the poor qaulity pic..,-U have to know the adrenaline on D/D were still pumping and the cell camera were not the best...)

Any info on good baits for Rock Salmons...?? Would Cray tails/Squid for e.g. work..???

Best Regard and happy Fishin for You man..!!
