Hi all
I moved to Oudtshoorn not to long ago and came across this dam, thanks to the guys on this forum. Very nice dam to fish and close to home etc. Here comes the "but"
To fish this dam you need to get a day permit from the caravan park just as you get to the dam, this costs R30 per day per angler. You also receive the key to the gate so that you can drive al the way down to the dam as it’s quite a walking distance. Every single time that I have gone there, someone that does not want to pay the R30 stops in front of the gate and then jumps the fence and goes fishing. That is fine by me if you do not want to pay but please stop in the road so that guys that do pay can drive in as I do not like leaving my vehicle on a deserted road.
No one needs to reply to this topic as topics like these sometimes become lengthy and boring and this is a fishing forum after all. Enough said
