Howzit Gentleman and Ladies

Long time no chat, going to Kollegeplaas this weekend , in between steyns and Boshkop, awesome fishing place, Got plattanas at sollys angling corner Booysens to tackle some Barbel. Got FX Snotties to use with dough backing and stuttaford & Banjo dip always works. Need to find out something. When making a dough can you mix it with honey and will it help. Also any advise on where i could get a cheap waider as they are so expensive.

I will update pics on Monday, has anyone been to this place by any chance.

Hi There,

You can mix the dough with honey, but be aware that i might not work so lekker in the summer as the dough might become snotty... You can also have a look at  hip-waders for +- R240 - R280 at your local  anglingshop.

Hi,

Options:

1/4 teaspoon sugar

teaspoon honey

Try salt..... I never tried it before.

You can use sprite, beat.

You can mix your favourite dip with the dough like almond, pink sweets etc.

1 teaspoon brown sugar
a little bit of boiling water to disolve the sugar
then start adding flour until the mix isn't sticking to the sides of the cup.
I sometimes add a little custard or flavouring to the water before adding the flour.

Try a red dough. I have also had some success with this.

Salt works  mostly on freshwater dams close to the coast, we sometimes used salt while living in CT.

This is a pic of one of the fish i caught, caught 3 more same size and looked the same, i kinda think it was the same fish i got three time after re;leaseing wonder is that possible

@MB - What are the facilities like College...The prices as well if you have them.

there is cold showers, toilets and alot of free space, price is charged at R30 per person per day. No matter how much rods you have.

I prefer it as not alot of people know about it.

Past Boschkop you will see a sign saying clover plaas and below that a board saying Kollege Plaas turn in there and follow the gates.
