Decided to take up the rock and surf tackle for a change - Fished Arniston side of Heuningnes river on Saturday - What a pearl of a day !! Not a breeze, flat sea, water temp about 16 deg. all just to perfect. With our fist cast at the mouth Neil was into a nice size elf - bit him off 10 meters from shore. Nice size though 2 - 2.5 kg.

We then moved up the beach for say 2 km. Got to a perfect spot for a kob. White water, nice narrow gutter and sand working. Second cast Neil was in - Kob 94cm. My next cast I was in Kob 87cm.

That was the bites for the day. Packed up at 2pm and back in Cape Town at 5.

Great day and just another reminder of how privileged we are to be part of nature and what it has to offer.:SSS

Nice fish!

We actually briefly chatted about the 'tail at the point when Neil stopped to say hi on saturday!

Did you get to sea on sunday? From what I hear, the 'tail took the day off. Hope you managed to find some though.

All I managed on saturday was a young steenie tagged and released.

Haaa !! Nice to put face to name.
No - got to sea very late - took a drive to RB, spoke to 1 or 2 guys that have been trying the whole day and at 16h15 packet up back to Millers.
Saturday on the beach was really good fun and though.
