With the proper South Easters turning Falsebay on it head, i think its fitting to get the Kob Season thread going.Looking at the weather, this weekend should see some Falsebay and overberg kobbies landed!
you are welcome to post a good pic of your catch, and just specify it it was on cast bait, or drone.
goodluck with the season!

LOL...slot size limits in law would just take all the debate and banter away..hmmm wishing..

I love keeping one for the braai, but over a certain size they should all go back I hope we agree but everyone entitled to their opinion..Species has collapsed, its proven by now..yeah sad state. Still around ja..but the science doesn't lie and the old books dont either, it is nothing like what is used to be like and nothing like it should be like. They used to be a pest.

with all the truth in that, we, as humans, are responsible for said collapse.

And (the drone club will be disliking me soon) drone fishing is not making it any better - people are dropping baits further out, and those monsters are not being released as much as one would think (think conservation and breeding specimens).
Not that the casting/sliding fraternity is any less/more guilty - just my opinionated observation.

Weather patterns have returned to more normal (as with previous years) and could see more fish in the bay though.::tight:
