Kob on my Ultegra

Hi guys..Could you please advice me around the following..

I want to buy me a setup with wich i can easily through a chokka bait or a live mullet for kob..i would like a nice big grinder like a ultegra 14000 but not sure which rod will fit with it...ive seen the assasin meduim 13,6ft with a heavy and medium front tip in store... looks nice.

then grinder revolution has really taken :sa: by storm.. check posts or search for posts by enigma on the subject.. can also pm him for more info should you feel as he build's rods and has built many a rod for people on sealine who are all very satisfied with everything about the rod

the assassin name has come up for grinders before so you right there i think.. though i dont have so a big grinder outfit..gud luq.

friend of mine has the penn surf blaster 8000 and the assasin medium and he targets sharks with it, hes able to throw a nice shad head bait and a 6 ounce sinker on the 6 ounce tip with no issues. Hes landed a raggy of 181kg on that set up and hooked and lost what we think was a pylie on it, he fought it for an hour and 15min when he was cut off on the mono leader. only issue I have with that rod is the thickness of the grip, other wise an absolute beaut rod

Thanx guys...Do you think you could customise the butt of the rod to make it more slimmer...i also do not really like a thick but...so i think mabe get me a assasin meduim but customise the butt/What do you think?

well you don't really need to customize the butt. just the grip, because your looking at throwing a big grinder like you do with your small grinder setups that have a long butt. I doubt you'll get much distance as if you threw the grinder like a multiplyer. The grip im sure you can get smaller. just gotta pay an extra 100 to 200 bucks depending on the grip, its also a lot more comfortable fighting a fish as if theres is a multiplyer on there.
