Kob in Kalkbay

I spent a great but unproductive day at broken road, yday. At around 5 i decided to go give the wall in Kalkbay a try. After about 1.5hrs of nothing happening i was about to head home, this timer pitch's up. He says "Dont pack up now.... The kob started coming out around 7 last night!" So me ever up for the chance to hook into something, i decided to stick around for another half hour.... 10min later it began!! There were about 30 fish that came out in about a hour. That was between 6 guys.:fishn

Mostly undersize, but what a rush. Every cast was getting an enquirey. Was just fun pulling them in and throwing them back. We lost a few to the local seals though!

The SE is back today and picking up nicely tommorow. Do you think one can target Kalkbay Harber for Cob and Wit stompies OR maybe any other areas you can suggest in winter for cob in the falsebay area.

hey kappie, i havent seen any stumps come out in kalkbay for a while now!!! im going to be around the area tomorrow, probably start at bail. cott and then maybe move over to the wall at the harbour!!

Was out there on sat night!!! nothing happeing at all! stuck it out for a few hours but then the weather and water turned a bit nasty! was out at zonwabi (spelling??) from around 5 till 8ish but nothing happening there either.

I was at Harbour Island Sunday night. Also no sign of cob. Only babers and one sand shark

well it looks like we closed this weekend again so probably be out over the weekend! there is a spot at the end of seapoint i want to check out maybe on thursday. just for shits and giggles!

You can get some nice hotties there andf further down towards Camps Bay there is a nice spot for Gallies , dad fished there all the years and promised to show me one day , I can sort off remember the spot for Gallies. Let us know how it went in Seapoint.
