Knot that doesn't slip.

Hi guys.

I use the simple blood knot for most things. When on light tackle, 0.25mm 10lbs line, I sometimes find that the knot doesn't hold up with a fish on.

Is a other knot like the palomar knot a better choice or I'm a missing something?

Give it a couple of extra turns and it should hold then. Make the tag end a little bit longer as well.

also make sure that your line is lubed up before you tighten the knot.

with light mono, it is very easy to burn your line when you tighten it, leaving weaker, and at 10lbs you don't have much breathing room.

also test your knots under the drag of your reel, this way you can spot iffy knots nice and easy

try a 4 turn uni knot, I use it on 5lb mono with great success
