Hi,

has anyone ever caught something or seen fish come out there. I've heard and seen in books that kob, shad and leervis can be caught there??? I've caught 2 carp with my flyrod  from the "bruggie" when the laguun is closed from the sea for a few months they come down from the botriver I think.

If you guys got some info coz I've got holiday house there and could be missing out on some fishing!!!

I spent a weekend there last year and fished the beach at the end of the lagoon(there where you have to walk over that long wooden walkway to get to the beach). The wind was roaring and the sea was rough the whole weekend. There were a lot of local fisherman who told me that this is there favourite Shad and Kob spot, but I only caught sharks. I can well believe that it is an excellent spot and would have fished there again, but I do not like to leave my vehicle in the road. You have to park at the entrance to those wooden houses and walk from there. I do not relish doing that at night.

If you catch anything there let me know and I will make a point of trying the spot again.
