Where's uncle Alan?

Seems like he is MIA this week - it was my turn last week........

Maybe he has got a sore back and stiff arms from all the barbel on the weekend......

Hiya, Didn't think you would miss me,and I also didn't recognise the "UNCLE" part, ha ha .Nothing much happening ,got a couple of smallish cats on Sat am,and to my delight we got a few carp on fly off the boat ,allways great fun on a 5 weight.

.Nothing huge 2-3 kilos and I also got one on my Sensation Roepstok ,must say the rod is definately more suited to Carp on loodkoppie than what it is for barbel.Cant wait for my Salmo roepstok.Hopefully I will be able to use it early next year, while cats are still around ,because at the rate this year is seeing its @ss,there just wont be time left before X-mas.

Lovely 32 degrees outside ,really makes one energetic.

Enjoy

Marthin probeer dwaf.org.za.   Moet jy nou ook Vrystaat toe kom as dit die amptelike '''"GROET-AL-DIE-FAMILIE-IN-GAUTENG-WAT-JY-NIE-OOR-KRISMIS-GAAN-SIEN-NIE"naweek is.

Groete

Ek weet jy sê dit sommer tong in die kies, want dit is n wonderlike voorreg om die Kers-tyd met jou geliefdes deur te bring. Notwithstanding the above ,eat your heart out while your'e here, just to make sure.

Your topic shouldn't read "missing in action" but rather "missing the action". After Dec holidays, the getting back into the hang of things can be a rather tiresome affair.Slowly but surely things are getting back to "normal". if one can call it that.Well normal enough to be able to slip away after work on a Friday afternoon to go and catch the smallest catfish in mankind's history, the only consolation is that it was arguably caught on the smallest spoon in mankind's history, a tiny DAM EFFZET spoon was responsible for this litle cat ,it is not much bigger than one's thumbnail(the spoon that is ,the cat was slightly bigger lol) .

Saturday morning saw my luck change somewhat ,back on my favorite waters, no matter how polluted,(cant desert her now that somebody else has neglected her, lol).Favourite water, favourite lure, favourite spot, favourite boat-partner, result favourite specimen, slightly bigger than the one from last night, and setting my benchmark for artlure cats in  2009.(still not making Ryan's 20 kg club for 08\09)

In case I forgot it is a SALMO SLIDER, black with red belly.
