Last night got to Kalk bay around 9, one guy packing away at the car park showed me a nice cob and said they had been biting well, earlier of the end of the wall.
Fished until 1 am, and finally got to see people catch cob, not me.
For a while it was all tangled lines like the Natal shad run but did witness about 8 fish landed between 9 and 10:30 then it went very quiet and shy sharks came on the bite.
Bait was sardine and chokka, couple of serious fishermen, beating anchovy into their chokka, just like i've read about on sealine.
The sea today at Muizenberg is a wonderful brown pea soup, so ideal Cob water, Hope tonight my first Cob will come in!
