We booked 12-16 okctober.Hope fishing is going to be good.I will let you know what the fishing will be like, and the state of the water.
Hey guys,
I found out about the roads, and apparently from JHB to Ermelo is quite a lekker Toll road - Stop and go's between Davel and Ermelo (average waiting time of between 15 and 20 minutes there) from ermelo, rather go to Piet Retief via Amsterdam.
A few friend's and myself have planned a trip to Jozini in Mid November.
I have never fished for tigers before, and needless to say am highly excited about this trip. Any advice for the Newbie, aside from a good prayer
? We will be staying at the White Elephant lodge, and chartering a boat form there - has anyone here ever used these facilities and skippers before.

sorry somehow missed your post
when we went down last time we took the following route maybe a bit longer but time wise i think we did well
from johannesburg we took n3 at heidelberg then took the standerton turnoff from standerton volksrust/newcastle/vryheid then on to pongola, fun scenic road trip especially vryheid to pongola
as for advice just do a search there is a well of info in these forums

I would just like to know does anyone here have some information regarding tiger fishing as Jozini. Where can i book who do you recommend.I would like to know where one could stay and where one could hire and rent boats with guides. Also generally when is the best time to fish for tigers at Jozini. I would really appreciate any information anyone could give me thank you.

How was the road from Standerton onwards - i hear there are stop and goes between volksrust and Newcastle. Seems like throughout Mpumalanga you get stop and goes nowadays
