Hey Guys

 

Planning a trip down to J Bay in September. How is the fishing:fishn at this time of the year for kob and raggies.  Also is bait freely avilaible in the area and are there any decent tackle shops in J Bay itself?

hi Roxal...

yeah there istop quality bait in humansdorp (just past JBay) at the baitman who supplies bait nationwide. All sorts of baits, better selection than any tackle shop.

September is high cow shark season and there are always kob around somewhere.

If you go to St. Francis point (you have to!) you'll likely get a black ray pickup. There are also cows, soupfins, hounds and spearnoses still around that time, with maybe some early summer specieslike bronzies and greys
