Going with Ed end of March....going to be an epic trip! I've got a couple of bucket list trips lined up in the coming months, so looking forward to some good fishing. Good luck for October, hope the missus doesn't embarrass you again :)

hahaha she probably will , she has crazy fish luck. they got some good fish this year March.

good luck bud and hope there is a 65kg dinosaur lurking around the reef for you.

you will have a brilliant time with Ed and his crew , great bunch.

not sure next year either PNG (papua new guinea) or Fiji (Chad from no boundaries is opening a lodge there on a remote island in 2018) Providence Atoll or Panama , have not decided

Getting a world record is some serious fishing luck, I could do with some of that I'll tell you!

I've also got PNG in the back of my mind, but I'm off to NZ next year August for a short while, so I'm thinking of stopping off in Malaysia on the way and hitting Kuala Rompin for a bit of sailie action...let's see what happens. I saw the Ocean Souldiers mission in Fiji, looks pretty cool. You should have a look at Rock Expeditions' Kanton Atoll trip, that's probably the most epic trip available anywhere right now.

yeah Kanton Atoll is on the list its an insane place and tackle testing to the extreme there , just like Southern Oman.

you should check out Vanuatu and New Caladonia when you in NZ, big dogtooth tuna and loads of all size Geets.

3 months to go bud and then the wife and myself are back in the land of giants.

Sounds awesome, wish you bent rods and sore backs :)
In a little more than two months I'll be hitting the Giri river in the Himalayas for a big goonch and mahseer...hoping the fishing gods smile on me!
