After alot of sweat I finally finished the Popper and I can't post a pic until someone comes around with a good camera.

I'll post a pic then and you can crit my attempt.

Yesss!!! Show us, please.

Edit. I found this pic somewhere.

Show us how do do this paint.

I want to put flames on my popper.
Mikey, that is nice work, wish I could do that! If I was a motorcycle panel beater, perhaps I'd have learnt how to do that. Maybe you should do a painting tutorial for the guys! ^^..

Bennie - Good looking popper !

I have read somewhere you can catch sharks with a splashing method, which I would like to try out sometime. I was wondering if anyone ever got a shark on something like a popper ?

Ben - Awesome kingfish in your avatar ! Am I jealous eh ! On the list ;-)

Hi Bennie,

Hou so aan my maat , jy laat die massa produksie lyk soos n coner cafe ::S

Groete Ben

Mikey,

If you want to use a lathe I will come and fetch you one morning and you can turn as many as you like here.

Great work Bennie , thanks for your time and more importantly you inspire the little craftsman that lives in each of us.

Hi Bennie.

Where do you get the S/S wire from "Here I’m using 1,6mm diameter 304 SS wire"
Can I use this to make spinner baits aswell?

Hi Bennie,

Excellent tutorial!!

Your attention to detail shows in the quality of your finished product. I know you cannot put a value on a handcrafted product as it is purely a labour of love.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

I use mainly 1,6mm tig welding wire. For heavier, I get straightened wire from spring manufacturers.
