for the guys who were on my right... there is a product called rigting pille!

buy it today!
it greatly improves your casting direction!
minimizes the possibilities of causing a fight!

Fished the long road , had a very very busy day , caught way too much fish for the day lol. I was so tired the night that I could not even watch the WP game and we left early cos the guys had commitments in CT. Lekka day , lekka fishing. All medium fish from 34cm to 38cm and one bloukop of 40cm.

Thanks Alfie !!

Ou bews...Gotta tell you ouens about my Bear Grylls style encounter with a creature!...

There we are walking in the shallows minding our own bizniz and my eye catches something in the water, im dinking wat de f! Upon closer inspection i check dis ding out, it’s a flippen MOERSE occie!!!! My natural predatory instinct kicks in, i make a mad dash and trade my prawn pump for something with a little more fire power!!
in_jou_chops.gif
With rodspike in hand I’m on my way to lock horns with this denizen of the deep!!!

I weight up my apponent, In one corner weighing in at 55.3kgs Tashreeq “Supatashi” Allie: Special move, Van Damme kick!! Favorite colour: Green VS  Oc “TE” Pus! As wide as a tyre  and weighing in at about 20kgs! Best ability: Multitasking…  I stand facing the beast, 300 music starts playing in the background, I think of those words “Claws of black steel... fur as dark night...Eyes glowing red...jewels from the pit of hell itself...The giant sniffing... savoring the scent of the meal to come. It's not fear that grips him...... only a heightened sense of things. The cold air in his lungs. Windswept pines moving against the coming night. His hands are steady. His form... ... perfect” … With a sudden thrust I spike creature,  its make a counter attack trying to grab my wader and free itself from the spike, but I stand my ground and manage to wrestle it up onto dry ground, I spike it into the sand so it can’t escape….. But now it’s really pissed!!!! Adopting a threat posture,  it dramatically starts changing colour in an attempt to confuse me, I shrug off this as an act of desperation…  suddenly it hits me like a thunderbolt! What the eff am I gonna do with this thing!!!!... Boiled, Fried, Crumbed! Grilled Octopus Salad... mmmmm... Then I remember that occies regenerate their limbs so im thinking il just plick a leg!! Easier said than done!!! Now its hand to legs combat ek se! I tussle , ducking and diving with my knife trying to find a opening! Man its legs all over the place I grab the leg and with a few hacks it pops off!! Victory is mine! I release the  monster occie to fight another day,
box.gif

This remarklebly strong and intelligent creature it surely did earn tons of respect from me… But haaties vir hom cos now I have a nice occie leg about 1,5 meters in length ready for some kobbing!
The occie did also tell me who would win the rugby!! But that’s between me and him!... hahahaha!

anyways.....

as for the fishing, conditions were windy all day, but we managed to locate the fish early, and we focused on that spot for the whole day and it paid off for us… I was keen to get my new purgie 400/2 up and running, and my-o-my what a rod! Chucked in first cast VAS with a decent das, next thro BA! BLOUKOP! After that we nailed quite a few fish… Oh yes I also got hammerd by a 40cm stump on my second last cast, I’ve caught bigger before but none that took line like this one, must have been on roids!! At the weigh in the fish came in at 1.12kgs (looked bigger! LOL) which gave me about 5 or 6, so no prize for me! I know they said the biggest stump of the day was a 1.24kg… But its early days and things a looking leka for da baan this season…  Oh yah another  funny ding was a seal that chowed a stump while some poor oke was reeling it in!! I swore i saw the seal smile as the line parted and the fish fish firmly in its clutches!!! Shame I think that ou need some sugar water after that, that ous nerves as klaar!! Hahahaaha!...

it was nogal an eventful day at da Portnet comp!

hi.

years ago before my emigration to the west coast, we always avoided the pool for bait collection, i believe there was a sign up prohibiting bait collection, it has has subsequently disappeared.

i even went as far as asking a law enforcemnet official who could not advise.

any one else perhaps knows?

Subaruseun,

Couple years back myself and brother-in-law were pumping in pool. A Fisheries guy rocked up and just stood there watching. Not a word. Thought he was merely checking our quota.

On another occassion a friendly  older fisherman stopped, and warned me off, stating that tickets were issued for pumping there. :fbash

Damned if you do, damned if you do'nt.

Clarification please ladies gentlemen  would be most appreciated!

Thanks.

i hear what you ae saying... seems the dissapearance of the board has something to do with nobody knowing!

i will contact deadp /mcm i n the morning and try and get clarity... tried this before it takes a while before someone can actually give an answer... bear with me.

If they are out of "rigting pille" go to Kalk Bay, when the stumps are running, where the ou toppies will sort out your directional issues!

i have a feeling these "rigtinglose siele" were kalk bay individuals who pride themselves usual jersey knitting fiascos regularly.
