Inverter - Help please!

my mother is looking to get a small Inverter. She lives in a complex where the houses are on top of each other so a generator would be to noisy. She has asked my advice and I'm just as clueless! She really would only need something to keep the TV and DSTV on. We have one quote for a 600w for R6500!
Any advice would be appreciate as to what make, size and price, as well as the best place to purchase.

Just Google inverter calculator, there a number of sites which will explain how to work out what size you need and also give costings and power consumption of various house hold items.

Yup just google it.you should be able to find a combo all in one unit that comes with everything you need to run for eg a tv,dstv and one light

Go onto Gumtree, there are a ton of people importing them now.

Couple if hundred bucks. The 4x4 shops also sell them.

You don't need a huge one for tv and dstv.
