Installing Audio Equipment

Hey All

I want to install an Audio System to my Seacat.  Do you have any tips on cutting into the Fibreglass without destroying the boat. 

I am thinking:  Use masking tape to protect the gel coat. 

                        Drill in the corners of the shape I want to cut out

                        Use a fine haksaw blade to cute from hole to hole.

Am I thinking in the right direction?

A router works tops! It doesn't chip and crack the gel coat.

Use masking tape around so you don't scratch the surrounding surface.

When drilling, use very light pressure but run fast and let the bit slowly make progress, at least till you are through the gelcoat.

I use a dremmel with a round bit for smaller jobs. Works lekker!
