So it was the float tube comp this weekend.
And the first mistake we made was to meet up at spar in bronkhorstspruit at 05:30...so we launched at 07:30....a bit to late, i think the day wouldve been better if we were there earlier...
2nd mistake i didnt take pics of the two biggest fish of the day, stupid me...sorry guys...
But all and all was an awsome day, swartkoppies is a very difficult place to fish, i think everyone that was there can agree with me...we werent allot but it was worth all the effort...
Jason came 4th with a weight of 1.07kg 3rd was Hennie with 1.08kg(was awsome to see these two guys fishing the last hour....hehehehe...i came 2nd with a weight of 1.55kg and then Schalk kicked our ass with a whopping 2.8 kg...Jason didnt want to weigh in a fish that he caught that morning that was prob. about a 500gmer, if he did he wouldv come 2nd...hope you learned bud...hehehe...
Anyways thanks for you guys that did pitch up. petty the others couldnt make it, i know of a couple of guys that needed to work.

Like i say fishing was tough, the first time for me fishing lillies and its not as easy as it seems...lol...
Hennie, Jason...if you guys have pics of the day, please post it...

Here is some pics...cant believe i didnt take a pic of schalks fish, it was a beauty...

The lillies, water grass and reeds is the only type of structure in the dam unfortunatly, but luckilly after this i know how to fish lillies...Water grass made it difficult and myself and jason lost about two nice fish in it...

Hey I just want to thank Basslover for the whole thing!!! alot of effort went into it! thanks alot bud.... nice meeting up with you!

Well done to the other chaps.... I cocked up my stratergy a bit... weeds came up in like 2 weeks and messed things up a bit... usually you just drop your fluke next to the far out lillies and bang you on... but now there were weeds at the far out lillies, so wasnt sure where the fish where....

the only spot that was worth fishing was the corner that was fished in the morning...

although... should of been fishing the nests aswell... oh well... Was definatly the tuffest time that ive been there! sorry that is wasnt provductive for the first comp.

But once again! that you very much basslover... thanks for the great effort!
