Hi Taniko,
I completed the Fishing side of the survey but I feel that you should include spearfishing too.
There are many factors that come into play with the new proposal.I for one would rather be able to take one or two good pelagic fish than 10 bottom/reef fish.The local KZN Wildlife guy does his best at policing the area but there needs to be more to conservation than just checking licenses.
Aliwal is an amazing fishery and I trust that it will stay this way so that my kids can shoot Wahoo/Sails/Cuta when they are a bit bigger.

I have purposefully not specified the method of fishing in the survey. In this case, the term "fishing" is broad and to incorporates all attempts to catch fish.
However, I am aware of the dominant fishing practices practiced at Aliwal, a description of which will be provided in the write up. For example: I know that both line and spearfishermen target pelagics, and that regulations apply.
