it used to be called Obron Dam, now its changed to eagle waters resort. ( its just before de Rust ).
are u goin with your family? or just guys?
honestly this is SA & every where is not safe lol...ive never had a problem at this dam with regards to safety..it also depends where u choose to find a spot

its my and the family, my wife and 2yr old son
we used to visit Jim Fouche alot in the past, it was nice and safe - you could leave all your gear out over night with out a problem

i got messed around by another resort at the vaal... they cancelled my accommodation

all of the chalets are on the water like really close, as soon as u step outside u looking at the water.document.write('/images/emoticons/f10.gif');

its not that far maybe 45min to a hour depending where in jhb u stay
