I used to fish at broken Road. A bit hesitant with the safety issues, but if there are enough to join then I am all ears.

Hey Sailfish, remember when you had 4 posts?

While I a have only 20 odd I have always been very happy to have another angler by my side. It comforts me when I am not the only one with an overwind.

With only 20 odd, it makes my appetite no less than yours, however, with your count, you are always welcome at my table!

Sailfish, no disrespect at all.

Certainly not when I follow your history. As you can see I am new at the game (again) and am looking to make friends with those that have kept up with it and have houding.
My gees goes way beyond where my free time allows me to be, and only for that I wish that those heading out to a spot would consider d**ses like me.  Ja, very soppy, but thats the way it is.

This SE we had for a couple of days must've done somethin good on the Falsebay coast. I've blanked for a while now. But then again i'm no expert. Just tryin my luck. Some odd cob has been hooked but mainly at night when conditions are right. I'm sure a gallie with your name on is swimmin at Broken Rd. Perhaps you'll be lucky when the stumps come on the bite at beespens. Just make sure you have a variety of bait with you. Tight lines

Is it just me. or is it that the buddy system works exclusively here.  You know, to be nice, to ask nicely and to try and make friends is the way I would like to go forward. But for none of the mana to reply or offer is not so cool!

Speartackle, if I was there I would have made a nuisance of myself, you have no idea what I will do for some time fishing at the coast.

I don't think this is a matter of exclusivity but if you look at the posts on this thread, mostly relatively "new" guys. Judging by the way the(dare I say) "old timers" share their knowledge, I believe it might be that we just need to participate on the forum and be patient... I hope.

Well, I put the hard yards in - from 04H00 until 12H00, starting at Monwabisi and ending near Sunrise Circle.  I fed the fish all that I had.  They feasted on sardine, chokka, mussel and worm, and they fed well because I came home with nothing.  No bait no trophy.  BUT, I will be back again tomorrow.

Ps. I did not see or hear of anything coming out of the areas that I was in either.

This game is obvously NOT for sissies!

hey speartackle

Make no mistake about the winter fishing not bein for sissies. I've blanked many a times on the Falsebay coast this winter. Better luck next time.
What's the weather like for Sunday? I thought a cold front was hitting Cape Town?

I'd also be at the waters edge if I was closer, remember it's winter so lots of hard work is going to be needed to get to a fish.

Sailfish popped in to comment on this thread too, remember all of us are "new" as we learn something everyday. Participation is the name of the game. I was patient and read for months before commenting. Ran into Dieselblood, Rofflign & Ray Hall on the beach and suddenly no shortage of fish buddies.
