Hi Eckart,

We arrive on the 10th.Do you mind if I give you a shout for a report a day or so before we leave (will you have internet access ?).If conditions are not great we may stop along the way at spots where the water could be better.

Cheers and good luck.

Dean.

reception 100% on the hill above the backpackers, and quite possibly at backpackers. as you move down the hill towards the cottages it gets progressivly worse till at my place, signal is in specific areas only.

on the hill top 3g signal fine. do work up there often.

Had a reasonably successful trip with a few bottoms but zero gamefish around.I think we missed the main sard shoals by 2 weeks or so.Dived 3 out of the 6 days and had from 18m vis right down to 3m in places. Also had a "confrontation" with a mis-timed wave on the second days launch which we narrowly escaped all adding to the excitement.

Boat trailer took a serious beating on the bad roads though and is now in need of new springs, some welding here and there and tyres as well.

Biggest black of the trip went 16.1kg but we saw an abundance of 7-9kg fish.

Here's a 7.5kg Black and a 5kg Pink Bankie I got on the first day.

Hi tkei, are you still living in the HITW area?

Planning a trip down there end of September, would like to get a sea condition report before making the treck down.
