I have often noticed  that as I lower my bait

I am going out on a limb here, but to my knowledge they all do.

I havent had the eagles or the Navmans but pretty much all the others and they scrolled right side to left. In other word the markings starting on the left moving across to the right.

Here is a screen shot on my Side Imager of some bass feeding on a baitball at Albert Falls Dam.

On that furuno does the markings start on the left and then move to the right? If so then I can understand the fish rising.

On my garmin it starts on the right moving to the left

Cant speak about side imaging units don't have one.

Old school, stick to what I know but on the Furuno pictured above the scroll is standard as per most from right moving to left same as your finder.

Makes no difference to understand the rise. Fish showings on that display Miles posted clearly show fish in shoals rising up, see right hand side of picture.

Had it far too often where we have given a guy some good marks, just for him, next time down, he has a mate and the mate brought his boat so he gave them etc etc. Next thing the whole F#cking world is fishing the secret mark I gave one guy. he didnt work hard to find it, so felt nothing to give it out.
I have poured thousands of rands of petol into the sea looking for my marks and get pissed off when others get upset when I wont hand over. The worst is when you fighing fish and someone races up to you, hits save on the gps and pisses off again. had that often. usually the copper marks are tiny bumps where the fish congregate, a few m off and you get zip. Too many guys you dont know expect you to give info for free re reefs. No way. As Ht says, most will give freely of advice, tips etc, but reefs etc are like my wife, I dont share and get angry if you ask.
We get the same here - come February I get plenty 'mates' asking for our FAD coords. and get pissed of when you say no. One FAD's materials(bouys/rope/foam/swivels/concrete/shadecloth) costs about R400 and then you have to construct it and deploy it (which in itself can be a mission) and then wait untill it starts producing, and these UC's think I should just hand over their positions so that they can clean up the dollies for me - yeah right, "just take a few pics for me won't you" !! ......As#$*le.
