Thks - I did not realize you were referring to those - sorry - I had some but found them a bit non practical due to only one size available & which makes it a bit awkward for use on smaller spoons - but that is my opinion.

I thought there might be different ones available.

The making of the lures are very easy.
I use the ff mold, pour my WM in in the position where the mold is lying flat & or slant it at a slight angle to get another shape further down the swivel end.

I only pour small quantities of WM to get the desired size of lure.

I'm curious also if you don't mind what you made your mold out of and excuse the ignorance but what is an ff mold?

I've got to find me a WM supplier and get cracking!

I bought the mold frm a secondhand shop (Pawn shop) (I am a pawn-shop junkie besides a Lure junkie - sound terrible)

Its a alumimium mold , of which guys have their molds casted at foundries. They cast metal castings. The most common metals processed are aluminum & cast Iron.
I must say there are many guys who also sell molds , the size is the only thing.  Try Google SA , Gumtree & even SL's, but you pay more for n new mold than the one in the Pawn shop.


Sorry for confusion - I use the abbreviation ff. when I refer or say " the following"....or "for the following"

Try your Scrap metal dealers for WM & then melt it down to sift the impurities from it & you will be left with a bit better quality WM.

I bought for +-R50/Kg in Durban.

If you do a search on SL using words White metal suppliers , you might find info, as I remember that Bennie Jordaan posted a while back wrt a supplier in GP area.
