@gert you dont need to PM me and try bite me Sh!t.why not just do it in the open forum. if you dont like what i have to say then ignore it. everyone has there own opinion. i let you state your opinion even though they are a bit far fetched and i dont agree with them.

iF YOU WOULD READ MY POST ABOUT THE WATER COLUMB AND COLOURS THEN YOU WILL SEE Y I DONT THINK MY THERY IS FAR FETCHED. I THINK YOU COMING HERE TELLING ME MY WAY OF FISHING IS WRONG IS NOT PART OF WHAT SEALINE DOES.

Never said your way was wrong, simply advised shino that i (meaning me, pumamangp) would stay away from hi vis. he asked for my opinion so i gave it to him.

I was not sayin anyones theory is wrong. was simply giving my opinion and info that i have collected. If you dont want to read what i have to say dont. just dont come ant say my theory is all wrong. I find that i fish well with my gut and leader and thats all that matters.

I agree with you shino, words of wisdom. This post was ment to help anyone stuck. We have both given 2 great post about y we use the gut we use. And y it works best for us. Allot of people will agree or disagree, but it comes down to personal choice. Everyone has there own theory of why there methods work or why they use them. I think people should take this as a learning curve, and not tell people there theorys are wrong but to advise what works best for them.

no dude i cant read or write , cant you see how i splet my own name deisel not diesel, im terribly retared, i also dont like catching 100 gram carp, must be something very wrong with me, btw i didnt say what you do is wrong i said its simply has its faults, and if you perhaps took advise from better anglers and wernt so stuborn you may grow as an angler and up that pb of yours ;) (im not saying im better cause i catch bigger and more fish than you,)

well i dont use any specific gut yet but after this thread i've settled on grey/green tones and thats just because im confident it will work on most dams and i wont have to keep chopping and changing... each to there own, use shocking pink for all i care if that works for you and matches your rod then go for it... the speci guys will never change from camo and you wont move over from yellow, that was established a long time ago... fighting isnt gonna change that...

I use both braid and mono. If I was still competition fishing I would be fishing with 10lb or thinner braid. The diameter is out of this world thin and casting braid is so smooth that when combined with the correct rod you will cast amazing distances with light sinkers. Hi visibility line does help when conventional fishing, whether in wind or calm conditions. Because of the usual frantic pace, you can keep track more easily of where your lines are. I would however be using hi visibility braid if I was still fishing competitively. (if the rules allow it. I can't remember). However, for my social fishing 10lb double x green works well. My 7lb double hi viz is past its lifetime so I will be replacing it soon with 10lb Double x green. So from my side that is what works for me with conventional angling. I don't have a use for expensive braid for catching small carp for fun if I can catch them with cheap mono. Big carp fishing or specimen angling is something completely different. To me braid is essential for big carp. Firstly, the thin diameter to breaking strain means that the braid remains "fishable".

I'm going fishing now so I will finish the post later.

mate please copy and paste the post that said what you do is wrong??

and dont  play innocent, you threw the first stone by saying mark must go pay with his toys and i am unable to read, then you send mark pm's threating him and so on,

bottom line is 99 % of club/pro/competitve carp anglers dont use bright lines for the reason of fish being line shy, that is the advise i give if you catch well on bright lines thats wonderful, ,  but instead of having a last word all the time maybe say ill try it, and maybe earn something new, i have fished with bright lines and my catch rate dropped dramatically on a number of venues

Stefan i never realised you could get 10lb braid, I really think it will make a diference in casting as the gut has no strech and as you say is thinner. i think i will fill my spare spools with 10lb braid to test it. Its going to be an expensive test:) but might be worth it in the end. Deisel, I know i can be stubern at times and have realised it to be my downfall. When you guys were trying to help my catch rate i went on the ultra defence. i apologise.

no worries dude, also be ready to take a knock on sealine but 99.999999999% of the time its done in a humours way and no one means any harm, its a difficult one cause text has no tone or intention, on words on paper, it doesnt truley reflect the anglers true nature and sense of humour, tell you what mate next time i do a session ill give a long leader and hi vis line a try if you try fishing just one spool with a clear or greenish line hows that
