I am looking for something small that i will be able to run off a small bike battery, as well as having a portable transducer! I dont really need something that operates deeper than 50m, I dont either need something with plenty of functions, i just want it to tell me when there are fish about! I know that there are a few cheap options out there, but have found in my experiences that you get what you pay for! It would obviously also need to be waterproof!!

What you guys suggest?

i got the garmin 90 for 1600...great piece of kit...i would have gone one up to the 140 if id found it for that price but im happy with mine none the less...

i think you can get it in portable aswell...
