I take it you have 130 2 stroke yammies, Im looking at replacing my motors but the 150 are just to heavy so looking at the new 130 yammie 4 strokes, but very little feed back on the net yet

Yes I have. They average out at 2.4 l/nautical mile

Buy the biggest displacement motors on offer for the lowest R.
(in the weight class you think your boat can live with)

HP at sea is irrevelant, only torque counts.

If money is not an issue, buy the highest torque/kg

Can't vouch for the 130' but have just got a light weight F200 which is also one of these new generation Yamaha motors. Only have good things to say so far (but only 12hrs). Don't think you will be sorry.

If you not fishing commercially its hard to buy a bad motor these days, I'd be more concerned about where my nearest dealer is and how honorable he is than the brand of motor. If you run big hours buy Yamaha.
