Just thought I would share this with you guys.
I took my dad and brother fishing this weekend to Laurentia as the fishing there is normally quite easy so we were guaranteed some fish.
On Sunday morning we were doing a rebait and I got caught on the snag fishing peg1 halfway between the peg and the opposite margin. I jumped in the boat and went out to try and retrieve the line and when I got to the middle I could feel I was really vas. Directly over the snag I pulled and pulled harder thinking I would break off but every time stopped being afraid I would break my rod, when I gave slack I could feel a heavy thud on the end of my line so I gave it horns and saw my lead core come up next to the boat out of the water and grabbed it, luckily I had hooked the end of what was a 6 meter long tree stump weighing easily more than 150kg.
Seeing the commotion others came out with their boats and after about 45 min we managed to remove the beast.
After that I dont think I will ever replace my Shimano Hyperloops.
I used them with Banax Helicons, Relix 20lb sinking braid, Fox braided leadcore, Fox Coretex coated braid and Fox Armour long shank hooks.
