howzit guys.
me and kavers went on n session last night, and after settling in nicely, wind dropping down, al daai lekker dinge, 2 cars and a taxi rocked up at the spot... everybody was pissed. they went swimming at 9pm at night. swimming over the other fisherman's lines... wtf
we wisely decided to pack our stuff and go home. on the way out i got n lelike vuil kyk from this one poepol, so they were there to cause some crap.

ahhhh, the joy of fishing vals baai.

That coast is a no go for me , not too long back one couldve gone down any evening alone , then you find 2 okes and fish in between just as a precaution.I will never go down there again at night , even in a group , its just a bigger target....cars cellphones etc and then someone must be armed no way dude its a huge pity and thats not relaxing looking over ones shoulder.......extreme fishing on the false bay coast has a totally different meaning!!!!!

Agreed bud, there were other fisherman but up against 15 people under the influence is not on. These are the spots where my PB is waiting for me but it's not worth the risk and we quite rightly pulled out!!!

Morning,

Where were you guys fishing? Myself and a buddy went to Broken Road and then to Blue Waters, but decided to fish Beespens instead, as there were no anglers at the previous spots. We had to pack up at about 21:30pm, as it started to look a bit dodgy. There were about two more anglers to our right...more in the direction of the fridge.

ja jong, dink ek gaan maar my karp stokke begin reg kry!
ag wat, ek het vrydag aand en sondag middag n trippie beplan. hopelik gebeur dinge dan. laat weet as julle n partner soek. ek dink nie die bad luck sal afsmeer nie, of wel, mmm, ek weet nie meer nie!

was in contact with kavers to go on a nite mission but withdrew as the temp was dropping to fast.

tomorrow evening looks good for a throw!

I know that parking area well ! The last time the same thing happened when I was there and about 30 min later the Metro police rocked up and gave the guys hectic fines and told them to leave ! Metro Police 021 5961999

Anyone fishing strandfontein tonight? I want to take a throw at miskietgat late just before midnight. Some steenbras and cob came out there last night apparently. I saw a dude with a steenbras when I was driving past in fact. I don't want to fish there alone though.

I heard a story last week from Peter who works at Tuckers Tackle. Well known angler Bobby was beaten up badly whilst fishing at Horses alone in the night(...a silly thing to do but Bobby does it all the time) Three okes surrounded him, one pointed a gun but in doing so the magazine fell out into the sand - thats when Bobby made his move and layed into them with his rod holder. The oke put the magazine back and tried to fire but the gun jammed. I don't know who got more on thier moer but apparently these scumbags got lekker donderd and came away with nothing.
Needless to say, I think Bobby took it all in his stride. I once questioned him why he took such risks fishing alone on Strandfontien at night and he replied " You need not fear no-one when you walk with the Lord. "
Well..., the Lord was certainly with him that night.

Wow. Hectic sheet. Glad that Bobby lives to tell the tale.

This has always been my fear. What's going to happen when these "willie werkers, tikkoppe ens"" get to know the value of our tackle.

Hahahahahaha old Bobby and his motorbike. Ive warned that oke, but then one day I saw him take on 3 guys at 'the arches' and I realised that bra dont pi-lay! Lmao. Ive learnt allot from him. Glad to hear hes ok.
