This sounds great guys. The compo will only start at about 14h00 or 15h00. Don't know about the venue yet. It might be Pelican Island, or maybe the Short Pier. But definitely on Saturday 28 Feb. The Kingies is full up in the bay. A 10kg was landed this morning of Steel Bridge in the canal!

Okay, here goes.

It is all about landing species. There is two tables in this comp. At the end table one will be multiplied with table two to get to your final points.

Table one is the amount of fish you caught in total.

Table two is the amount of species you caught in total.

Lets say Rods, you catch a Salid fish, Big Eye king and 3x Torpedo scads. So in table one you would have 5 fish. In table two you would have 3 species. We now multiply your two tables to get to your final points. 5 x 3 = 15 points.

Lets say Alton got 12 salids! wow! lots more than you but, Table one is 12 fish, table two is only 1 specie. 12 x 1 = 12 points. You still win.

Then there is the target specie. This will give you a bonus point only in the specie table. Lets say the target specie was "Big eye king" You would still have 5 fish in table one and 3 species in table two, but you get a bonus point for catching the target specie. This now give you 4 points in the specie table. 5 x 4 = 20 points.

So the more species you catch, the better your chance of winning!

Just out of interest, I will not be entering this compo. Will sponsor my R50, but won't fish. All I want is to see you guys enjoy the comp. I will be managing the photo taking and specie counting to keep things fair.;)

All the more reason to twist his arm there Ocean.  Just threaten him with no more fishing with him if he doesn't.  But then again with the baby almost here, his fishing just might be seriously curtailed.  lol.
