Hey Khani , which is better as an all round small coffie grinder , the new exceller range or the BG range. I wanna use my reel for both dropshot and on the boat !! Have u had any experience with both of them . The guys at Kings say that the exceller is the later model but the BG does seem stronger . What should I buy .BTW , dont ever buy the cheaper Daiwa range like the crossfire etc - what a waste .
Also what Khani says about the grunter in the bay is correct . Don't ever strike the grunter on the 1st tug . I've had experience where the grunter only pulls your drag after 10minutes from the initial bite . So be patient. If it doesn't pull properly - dont strike . Also dont strike too hard. I found it better to leave the rod down instead holding it in your hand - you dont have the temptation to strike too early .Dont forget to keep your drag open - sometimes the pull of the bigger grunters is enough to send your rod overboard . I've had the best fishing ever of the boat - so things can get exciting Enjoy .
