how was the three day weekend?

what a weekend...

went to ruimsig dam on friday morning bright and early only to find that there were hardly spots... got the spot right at the end by the bridge hardly got a line wet and got a phone call... tragedy had struck within the family and that brought a very abrupt halt to my day's fishing...  anyone have better weekend's fishing?

Was Island Shores toe.Nie sleg gevang nie,maar toe foeter 'n warrelwind ons heeltemal op.Gazebo,tent,sambreel,viskas en 1 van my stokke is nie meer nie.

From about 9h00 to about 14h30 on Friday I got 26 and the wife 14(her 1st fishing trip).Nothing big,unfortunately.Biggest Carp between 1,5 and 2kg.The guys with bait boats and canoe's did very well.I saw plenty of 5-6kg Carp come out,but these were all picked up further than 150m.My little Okuma's doesnt have that much backbone....;-)

Did a session from friday morning till sunday morning at a pvt dam, caught 11 carp ave was 6.45kg biggest was 10kg, smallest was 4kg.

Wasted Friday @ Footloose. Not a single bite.

To drown my sorrows we went to Trout Hunters on Sunday. Landed 3 Carp, Lost 2 while we were about to net them. All this in 3hours. Not sure about the size but a guess would be the biggest one was about 3kg's.

 A successful end to the weekend.

fished the vaal river, 6 carp, 1 muddie, heaviest being 10lb. Not a bad week end, nice and relaxed.
