How to get big fish at unknown waters

Ok, this weekend we where at a new private venue and caught a few carp between 1 and 2kg's.

My problem is the owner does not allow any type of boats on the water not even a bait boat. I know that there is big fish in these waters and it is quite a big dam.

How can I start a feeding spot in such a dam without a boat. I am looking at targetting the dam for the next few weeks and it will only be day sessions for now.

I really want to attract the big fish in the dam.

How can I start a feeding spot and what must be used?

i wouldnt suggest making a feeding spot, ather fish a close margin or drop off make sure you fishing of some structure that the carp travell in around or close to, feeding spots are only good for really big dams, like vaal size

i must agree with Deisel, structure would be more important then then a feeding spot. alot also depends on the dam its self (nat food available, snags/structure/places the carp feel safe) it differs from dam to dam.

i would suggest taking a full day and just doing feture finding and observing. find all structure,dropp offs etc and map it out. also watch the water and look for the carp.

once you have done this i promis you will know where the fish are and what patrol area is. AND THEN YOU CAN PLACE YOUR BAIT IN THE RIGHT SPOT.
