hey guys.
so my best friend and fishing partner (fudge) had to be put to sleep yesterday (see link) http://www.sealine.co.za/view_topic.php?id=12170&forum_id=32&page=3
i decided i need to keep busy and i took the wife for some fishing at me and fudge's fav spot.
the afternoon was long and quite not to mention the fishing. got a small one on a black horney toad the second it hit the water. but after that nothing... wife got gatvol and we decided to go back... so as we drifted to the car, i kept on making casts without any luck.
10m from the "jetty" and put on a black horney toad again for some top water action and decided im only going to make 3 casts. 1 cast nothing, 2 cast nothing....said to myself "this must be the worst day ever" and made the last cast. as i retreaved the toad (with some awesome action) 4m from the boat and ready to pack up, it HIT me...
with a force i will not forget soon. the wife got such a fright she almost jumped of the boat on the other side. my heart was going like a boing! the bass took line a few times, darting this side and that side, under the boat... i landed her and i was feeling much better.
here is pictures. my "untrusted" scale said 1.7kg and 2kg another time. so i dont know the real weigth.
ps. my PB is 2kg. i am scared to think what a 3kg or 4kg bass would feel like!
