How much does this fish weight?

Funny enough we will be netting out the smaller fish in the dam as there are simply too many and they consume too much of the natural food supplies in the dam. Will probably come across this fella again and i'll be sure to weigh him this time.
@ Enigma - My brother is another +- 20cm taller than me so your spot on with that and plus you've seen your share of carp so will take your guess thanks!I know theres many factors involved in growth but as a guess, how much would a fish of this size grow in a year? In a smaller dam with plenty food?

Anything to 2kg but with our climate probably 1kg but the bigger they get the more protein they require to actually grow.
Catch is in September before they spawn and you'll get another 1.5-2kg for the eggs in her.
Really a monstrous fish for the small river system you took her out of.

Our tiny stretch of river has surprised us a few times, caught everything from a 1kg Goldfish (now at the aquarium at Harties) to guy who drowned
There are a few of these larger fish, we see them often but the only time we manage to catch them is during the mallberry season when they hang around under the trees and chomp anything that hits the water.
Craig you should come around when the berries are ripe, its right at your doorstep, nothing fancy, just sit under the tree and lose big carp and hope to get one out between all the debris.
