How did u get into fishing

Saw a old man catching a cow shark and I was hooked straight away.

This Easter I was at Port Edward with my family and whilst shopping for braai rolls at the OK Grocer there, I came across one of those cheapo fishing combo sets and decided to give it a try. I knew how to tie traces and stuff from going with friends but was never really into the whole fishing thing. The next morning, I left our chalet early and went to the beach to mayyybe do some fishing. I was alone and just wanted to enjoy the sunrise and some time to stare into the ocean and procces my thoughts. Eventually, I finally "got down to it" but I wasnt prepared for what followed next.  I literally lost track of the world around me and and had no sense of time whatsoever. I was having so much of fun. I never caught any fish that day, but the excitement I felt just being there and doing what I was doing was like no other. Hours went by like minutes and before I knew it an entire day had passed and I even missed lunch (which never happens) cos I just didnt want to leave the beach and stop fishing, oh well, trying to fish anyway. Since then, I have gone fishing every opportunity I could get and  I am gaining a mountain of knowledge from Sealine in helping me become better at it. The guys on this forum are great and have helped me tremendously. Thank You.

 and you're so lucky to have found Sealine so quick, it took me months of internet searching and finally one day I was blessed when yet another search had delivered Sealine as a result..... NOW I DUNNO where my biggest addiction lies, fishing or Sealine?

I started off fishing from the age of 4yrs. My father was an avid fisherman. We used to fish in Umzimkulu river picking up monster like grunters,salmon etc. Then my father got me a kiddies rod set and the fist day I hooked a 4.5Kg grunter. But throughout my schooling & studying I was'nt really into fishing & only the past 5 years I have become really involved in fishing. I soon hope to be fishing competition as soon as I reach the 200 mark.

Its so long ago I cant remember. Think it was just something I naturally always wanted to do from the first time I saw rods and people fishing.
