Correctly setup banksticks in the correct bank are more stable than any pod, nevermind just cheap pods.
Hoswit guys would like to know if bank sticks are

Oi Carpfinder there is copyright on those pictures LOL.
I also prefer both setups but in England on some of the waters i fish aspecially the canal a pod would never work.
There were those photo's were taken it is still OK my next target section is horrible.
I like the adaptibility of banksticks but also got myself a Fox Horizon Pod for some of my other waters where a stainless steel banstick will be bent LOL.
I aggree with the mentioning that the area around me on the bank must be organized and neat and in it's place.
Boosts my confidence and make hard work a bit easier.
O ja and if you really a tackle tart those rods needs to be on the deck and low LOL.

If i may ask gert what did that setup cost you there cause i see on the websites the stuff there in england is dirt cheap!!!! And what typ of rods are you using?

I was about to buy a bunch of sticks and then I saw a gifox pod at western for R650
best R650 I ever spent.

Regarding your question about the rods in those pictures i were using the Grey's Prodigy's, while waiting for my rods.
In this new picture i am using the Free Spirit HI 's 3Lb.
Carpfinder18 with a set of decent reels and 2 rods and still with 'vispenne' that i adapted to fit alarms on i were catching decent fish in SA.
The tackle do not catch the fish.
So make sure youre carp care side is sorted and your tackle and get on the bank use some watercraft and catch a fish. I am still waiting for a pic from you LOL.
Tokelos i am still young and suppose to be active so i need to bend and stretch LOL.
To be honest allot of things in the UK is because of Tacle Tarts and there is allot of things i would not do for example folded reel handle's which you see everywhere, and DVD players inside the bivvie's LOL?
But then again on the other side there is allot of things that do make sense and that i am learning from.
But i like to keep a low profile on the Canal i am fishing now so low rods is working well for me, no need to have them hip height where that 40 pounder could maybe spot them LOL.
My Chair is also very low to fit into the brolly so basically i am sitting right on top off my rods due to sometimes fishing locked up near snags. And i have to be on the rods in a flash sometimes depending on location.
The wind also has much less efect on my whole setup by keeping it low.

A bit skew i know but setup 2 o clock in the darkness.
Backleads used here for boat trafic that can sometimes be a nuinsance.
I just went to the Grand Union Canal to test my new setup and get confidence in using it and maybe get a couple of carp bending the rods but i started liking the place, so yes a bit different from big SA waters at the moment but yes i am piling in the bait LOL.
Carpfinder18 the banksticks here are not that expensive and after using my Steve Neville banksticks now for a month i am really happy with them and they should last me a lifetime.

Enough of hijacking LOL
Personally in SA I would be using Banksticks on smaller waters and the Fox Horizon pod on bigger venues (a excellent piece of kit and also not too expensive for the guys that want's a pod with some decent adaptibility),
