HOLLOW CORE SPECTRA BRAID

Hi guys

I can import hollow spectra braid for windon making. It is really high grade and has been tried and tested all through the USA, Bahamas and Hawaii

There is just a myriad of lengths and breaking strains available as well as a variety of colours.

Please help me in determining colour and length and breaking strains you would like to bring in, after all it's to suite our needs

I can get the hollow from 40-1000lbs but we'll use 130lbs and 200lbs. 130lbs is the same as most 50lbs dacrons. 130lbs accept max a 1.3mm leader and the 100lbs maximum a 1.0mm and 200lbs for the 1.5 and 1.6mm

Please don't ask exact pricing but it is not wild, in fact quite good, so good in fact that I am looking at the solid Spectra 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 80, 100, 130 and 200lbs, just waiting for confirmation on diameter of the 50lbs available from 100m to 2500m)

I like the idea of using windons for even thinner diameter leaders between 0.6 and 0.9 as even though the fig8 ends up quite small it does tend to hurt the eyes slowly but surely..does anybody have a table on diameter to strenghth ratios similar to the windon post. I will be very intrested in the diameters that can accomodate 0.6 to 0.9 im assuming 60lb and 80lb respectively.

o and definately yellow.

I do not agree, bright colours attract other fish and get bitten off sometimes, I can hear the windon coming through.

On 0.6mm can use 80lbs and 0.90mm you can use 100 or even the 130lbs

Only fish i know off that turns and bites the windon connector is a GW

But I understand that game fish could quite easily take a bite at the connector (for those requirements we can get red in certain diameters as red is well near invisible to a fish in the water (most fish - not all)

The reason for the questions is the budget is limited and bringing everything in one shot will be to much of an outlay but special orders are no problem.  lengths of 50m to 2500m with 5 colours and 11 breaking straind and at the cost of braid could be very expensive.


Once sorted and we got the landed prices calculated I'll post it in the suppliers section.

I will take sum frokm you to be able to make 0.70mm, 0.9mm, 1mm and also 1.3mm Wind On Leaders. ( Maybe the odd 1.5mm one if I need it )

Yellow will do 100%. Just tell me which dacron I will need for which deiamter and I will take 100m of each and also 2 needles.

Keep us posted with the outcome and when it will bhe availible and you can count me in.

50m of each is ample (60 odd windons)

Would seem 100lbs will be fine for 0.60-1mm
130lbs will be fine for 1mm-1.3mm
200lbs for 1.3-1.6mm

Looks like the focus will be on 50m spools in yellow and 130 to 200lbs

I will have smaller amounts of the others on hand

I know this may be a costly affair for guys manufacturing but this can help identify leaders from sight.

From the above it is noted that the 100lbs is suitable for leaders between 0.6- 1.0mm and the decron comes in the common four colours but I like the idea of colour coding so diameters are easy to locate..Maybe use 100lb of green, yellow, blue, white for 0.6, 0.7, 0.8 and 0.9 respectively.

Alternatively one could use different colour heat shrink for those who prefer to finish whith it.

Just a thought...Enigma..when is your shipment comming in.

Put me down for 50m of each, 100lb, 130lb and 200lb! What ever colour you decide on, makes no difference!
