Holiday Season catches

We always ask the question, Can social angling have an effect on our fish numbers?

On Sealine we have a forum where we register our record catches.

I want to propose the following:

For the holiday season say from the 10th of Desember to the 7th of January we record all the fish caught. Does not matter what size. Not to complicate this matter I was thinking of only recording the species, area, the quantity caught and were they released.

EG

Species          Area                Qty                    Release

Grunter          Durban               2                        Yes

At the end of the survey we can then add all the totals together and see the amount of fish caught during this period and caught by what amount of anglers.

I am sure most okes on Sealine is stand up guys but do you think you will get a true reflection/honest input of what was and is happening out there?  I for one have nothing to loose but myself respect should i lie and give false input, but i have seen one to many times anglers take undersize fish etc or even more then the quota. However i think the idea is noble and be sure to get my honest report of what i have been cathing.

Honesty would of course be paramount marcc lol I am sure I would not have a problem with being honest enough to say how small my catches were.... others however ........

Thanks for the posts guys, as you say honesty will be the keyword. This is just to see how many fish can be caught by Sealine members over the period.REMEMBER if you lie about the size or weight of a catch the only person you are impressing or b@#lsh####ting is yourself.
Lets all try and partake just for the fun of it.
