I am coming down to Cape town on the weekend of the 21-25th of September, I would realy like to go fishing that weekend. I don't know if your offer will still be standing by that time But in case not dont you know of some one running a charter around CPT that is not charging an arm and a leg to go out because the most guys I can Find on the Net are realy Expensive?

I'm 100% in.    Just a query, what's the plan if the weather is forecast for not so good, or we wake up and the weather looks iffish (or should i say, no fish )?

Miles, perhaps we should get your cell no so we can check with you on the morning if ther is any doubt..

Another question is are there any snoek around the bay, and is it true that they are difficult to release?

Expat, yes there is still yellowtail around. The 'tail have been quite good at Cape Point for the last three weeks, with the commercials getting up to 800kg's per trip. The whole area from Rocky Banks to South West Reefs was FULL of fish!!

Patrick, there has been snoek at the Point on the week-end. I haven't heard any reports of snoek inside the bay, but Saldahna, Ysterfontein and even Houtbay has had VERY good catch's the last two weeks.

For the trip, i'll be able to say by Wednesday or Thursday for the latest, on what the weather will be like. If anyone wants to contact me, my number is 0827843769.

Just to whet the appetite! My wife made me take her fishing on Saturday. Even with a strong North Westerly and a large swell predicted for the afternoon, she insisted on going fishing. Who am i to argue.......

Caught at Gordons Bay. Filleted and grilled later the same evening!! DELICIOUS!!

Last weekends catch:

also Gordons Bay, full quota of roman and a 3kg elf/shad. Plenty of smaller roman and hottentot of up to 1.5kg's, which were all returned. Don't like hottentot, and neither do any of my friends!!
