Have one myself and it works great. Having a prototype sheath made for it so you can carry it on your bucket in case you fish takes you for a walk.

Stainless
Threading
Milling
General facing/cleaning


And these prices are over the top!!!

I think the minimum order of 5 is probably based on the legth of the SS rod.

Milling - R30
General facing/cleaning - R10

Total = R130

And these prices are over the top!!!

I think the minimum order of 5 is probably based on the legth of the SS rod.

I ran this not to retire from the margin, but rather in a bid to improve the hadling of sharks.

I still get many guys dropping me a PM, but I have not ventured into another order. Here is an idea...if you like why dont you take over the production and add the hook remover to your list of goodies?

p.s. you can make the min order what ever you feel like as well.

No appologies required...not sure where you got any idea that I ran this as a commercial venture? I thought I clearly indicated that in my previous post.

Why on earth would I post the cost of the item if I was trying to turn any profit. I might add that that cheaper price of R250 came from a Sealine member? I'm not a handy man nor a fitter and turner...seems you are more than able to run with the production for any further chaps that may want one of these tools?

The post was simply placed in this section for the exact reason I mentioned. Like I said the whole thing became a bit to much...prob cost me in the end. If you would like to run with it, it would be great.

There are a quite a few guys that I have not been able to help and in the comming season there will be more.

I was mearly pointing out the fact that you are being ripped off IF you are paying R250!

I am in the Engineering business, machining is not my core business but we run 3 lathes and 2 milling machines.

If you want them, you saw the costs I set out above

I took the liberty to have my own hook removal tool made. Also had some guy at the fleamarket make me a leather pouch. Pouch was a rip-off but its for life.
