Nice to see an active online community, dedicated to angling in South Africa.

I haven't been an active angler years, but I've recently re-educated myself in the pleasures of spending time with a rod next to a body of water.
It's a nice position to be in, knowing the spirit of fishing and being able to kit yourself out all over again.

I'm in the exact same boat as you (pardon the pun). With the rat race of life i didn't fish for over 10 years. I gave all my tackle away Recently, my dad took me fishing and it all came back to me (Celine Dion Style.

Right now, I've been slowly building up my tackle box again for bass, carp, yellows & barbel fishing. I've realized that things have changed to much over the years. Boilie fishing etc. - Gone are the days of plonking a piece of brown bread on the hook and landing a lunker.....

Anyway i'm back. I stumbled upon this forum and i am loving the information.
