I've seen okes hurt fingers And bust spools because of packing braid too tight around a Reel . It has No Stretch in it -or very little - but with enough of it On the spool , the mother of all pythons Will Eventually warp , or pop , The spool . Not always , but i am prett ycertain of it .

Just ask Abaddon what wind tension did to My KP , Loaded with .75mm topshot ........ Biggest skrik I ever got In my life .

Interesting - As Abaddon said, I've also seen the pretty Zig Zag patern on my reels spooled by hand as per mono method. Then used the kite under tension. Not sure if it is that critical though? Anybody with first hand experience of losing a fish due to this ???
