Have fished Goedertrow for many years having lived in Eshowe and Nkwalini, but yet to hear of anyone catching Nembwe. Really good bass, big barbel and good size Mozanbique tilapia.

Fished a compo there in early October, winning fish was 5.88kg, over 10 fishweighed in above 4kg and pleanty more.

Carlo T I see you say you are going to Josini the weekend of the 14th -5TH, I should be there to, mainly after tiger on fly, but am really keen to try for some bass too. Maybe will see you there.

Spke the the guys from Shyamoya, they say the water is not to clear at present but that fish are still coming out.

Trouble is there is not very much vegetation in Goedetrouw with holes in it.

It seems the nembwe are picked up whilist fishing for bass.

Tiger fish and bass can exist very well together Darwendale just outside Harare has very big bass as well as tigerfish.I once had a tigerfish of about 5 kgs take my watermelon senco to the cleaners in the gwebi river i was reeling in to recast when the tigerfish came out of nowhere and hammered the senco.In all species tournaments in Darwendale in the past people have weighed a limit of bass a  limit nembwe anda couple of big tiger.As for Kariba there was a population of bass in the eastern basin one of the residents released a lot of bass in one particular bay and used to catch them from time to time.The only problem was one of the lighties from the area was shooting them while spearfishing.You have to be very brave to spearfish in Kariba
