Hey Scorpion

Agreed, we must build together under a unified body.  Changes only comes when ideas are shared.  We should all be doing our utmost to attract as many members as possibly (any affiliated club) to strengthen our position in angling.  Maybe we can stop the Durban (and even our brothers further North) from creaming us at the nationals.

Well said china, most sense i've heard spoken about this subject in along time!!

Hey Noweeds

It's my pleasure.  Btw, I hope to catch you in one of the comp's when targeting those bronzies (maybe rub your hands and take some of that luck/skill away) in finally landing a 100kg + one.  :p

what makes them better than us, seriously this boland took us apart at the last nationals. we cant blame home ground advantage because we fish there often enough. anyway what will it take to be tops

Hey Scorpion

Maybe a fresh perspective is required on how we do things relative to our counterparts.  All things being equal, skill, knowldege etc, the only thing that seperates us is time and understanding.  My guess would be:

Maybe fitness plays a role as time spent out the water leads to less pull time or more importantly in my opinion.

That maybe we spend to much time on the mountain and this is hardly applicable in nationals where reef and surf and not undulating mountainsides that require a different skill set than what we are then benchmarked against.

or

Maybe we should become less reliant on our cellphones and become less dependent on somebody else's knowledge than our own

or

Guides are critical and if you in the Eastern Cape (secure the best guide earliest).

Just my 1/2 cent worth.

i would like to have national in mocambique or namibia, no guides test your skills to the limit. it might not be fun but it will be very interesting.

I agree.  It just sounds so enticing I feel like packing my gear to head that way.  Maybe we should lobby for that?.
