I just got my gun, and cant wait to use it tomorrow, have borrowed bits and pieces, from people. So hopefully tomorrow will be good just two questions.

1. How do you rig the gun to the foat!
1. How do I use and were do I atach the stringer.

Stringer on the belt, if your really hard core and dont mind going home without mid section, haha.

Stringer goes on the bouy, there a loop of some sorts after that just stick it into the bouy. To stop it from snagging or sticking into someone.
Then connect float to gun B.M.O ski rope or 3strand poly rope. I use a clip at the bouy and gun, which is spliced onto the line. If you can't splice, a bowline knot will suffice. when I dont use my reel.

The rope dont need to be 30m if you can only dive down 8m-10m like me. I use about 15m of line, depening on depth

Use stringer by pushing through the fish's eys/gills and pull through, you'll see how it works as you push it through.

Are you diving with someone? they may give some tips/ help. Diving alone as a beginner/pro, not recommended

yes you do. get them from your post office I think its about R80 cash (don't accept debit cards) for the year.
don't dive without one otherwise all that borrowed stuff will be confiscated. which will suck!

where you gonna dive?

Hey guys,

Permit are now R95 for a year.
Also a quick easy way I string a fish it to push the rod through his mouth and out his gills.

Try find yourself a dive buddy, ask here our try Blue Spearos on facebook. It is never safe diving alone. Also they will be able to help you and show you the ropes.

Wingman, im in knysna and spear and freedive quiet abit. Give me a shout if you ever wanna go make a dive in Herolds or Gerrickes
