been screwed by boat dealers as well, prices not really that much cheaper so it's no guaranteed safe option
I'm with Bennie on this. I'm little obsessive about finding the best price for something, and so I spend a ridiculous amounts of time comparing prices. Online parts are always cheaper, often a fraction of the price you would pay in SA. Yes there are as many scammers online as there are locally, but you just need to do your homework, search for complaints. Obviously only buy from sites that have perfect feedback records and independent recommendations.

Boat repair crook at large ! Harry De Lange
I wonder if the moderator can re- kindle this post.
I know where Harry De Lange is !
He is currently working as the boat mechanic at Sun City near Cubanas.
According to the staff there, he has taken loads of perfect running boats out of the water and towed them to his Jhb Workshops to "repair" ! ( meaning strip all the good parts off to sell )
Last September, I confronted him as soon as I saw him about the money and boat he had stolen from me, and he stood up to give me a beating. (all i'm saying is, that didn't work out so well for him)
He pressed charges against me and when i also pressed charges he suddenly dropped the charges and promised to pay me back at least some of what he had stolen. I GOT NOTHING SINCE.
I have been banned from Sun City for two years! While he is still working there.. i thought he had been fired, but, It turns out he is still at large there.
THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED !
As an honest guy just trying to have some honest fishing and boating fun i fell victim to this criminal and so will many others unless we all do something.
PLEASE inbox me if you have any experiences of your own and lets put a stop to this..

The problem is that they are still both operating in a syndicate together.
Today:
*Harry is currently the head mechanic at Waterworld, Sun City
*Marius is still maintaining the Boat chop shop in Benoni and advertising in Junkmail. ( see attached )
When i was there, the staff at Sun City were very confused as to why Harry kept taking perfect boats out of the water to "fix" them at the workshops in Benoni.
i confronted Harry and he tried to get aggressive, i gave him a hiding and have been banned from Sun City so violence is clearly not the answer! ( i missed that memo )
Its obvious whats going on and its not going to stop unless we do something.
I cant spend the rest of my life reporting Marius to Junkmail and neither can i stop Harry from operating at Sun City single handed.
They both need proper jail time for fraud and theft.
The way i see it, If enough of us who have been taken by these scamsters take action, someone has to sit up and listen.
Most of us will never see our stolen property or money again ... but ...
If we do nothing, then we are really no better for allowing others to be violated by this band of thieves ... My opinion :/
