Hi,

Does anybody have contact details of somebody, preferably in Durban or KZN, that can make stainless steel products. I am looking for outrigger base plates as per the attached picture (or similar).

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I found a place in Durban that makes these outrigger base plates. They are made from 5mm stainless and spring loaded.

The outrigger poles are from Purglas

You will need to provide them with details of the outrigger pole diameters that go into the base plates as they have a machined insert to reduce movement.

Tight lines.

Hi there Rip curl
just be careful of your choice of outriggers the purglass is very flexiable, ask them to build you the purglass rigger with the carbon fiber extension, they are about 40 % stiffer. Otherwise you will battle with your second rigging.

Always a pleasure, I recently had this experience and ended up costing me an additional R1400 to get the carbon extensions made, you can contact purglass direct they are in Sasolburg.

I have the old style glass riggers, and they are way too soft. I have been looking at getting as new set of poles and can get at a decent price, but Born Free, i see you got new carbon extensions. Are these to fit into the glass lower sections or are they also carbon in the lower section. If I can get away with only 1400 I would be very happy.

Tkei you can get the top section done no need for the bottoms to be done, you will just need to get them in to Purglass tho.
